In an endeavor to enhance service during this tax season, the Internal Revenue Service has unveiled special Saturday hours for the next four months at designated Taxpayer Assistance Centers (TACs) nationwide.
At TACs, individuals can receive face-to-face assistance from IRS employees.
Usually, the centers are open only on weekdays with appointments required, these centers will now welcome walk-ins for all services offered at regular office hours, excluding cash payments. To schedule an appointment during regular hours, call 844-545-5640.
These exclusive Saturday openings are scheduled from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Feb. 24, March 16, April 13, and May 18. Offices across numerous states, the District of Columbia, and Puerto Rico will be accessible during this special four-month period, with no appointments necessary.
As of now, over 50 locations plan to be open on Feb. 24, and more than 70 offices are scheduled for the March 16 event. Explore the special Saturday hours for participating TAC locations.
